Playa Giron
Playa Giron, or Giron Beach is at the south end of the Bay of Pigs. Named after the notorious French Pirate Gilberto Giron, Playa Giron was one of the landing sites for American Armed Forces that attempted to overthrow Fidel Castro and the goverment of Cuba in 1961.
